Donald Trump‘s campaign, in conjunction with the Republican National Committee, raised $18 million less than 24 hours after Monday night’s presidential debate, the campaign announced Tuesday night.
“This is a movement to Make America Great Again. We are grateful for the support of millions of Americans across the country. With this kind of energy and generous support behind us, we are going to have President Donald J. Trump in the White House.”
RNC Finance Chairman Lew Eisenberg called the National Call Day a “tremendous success.”
“Many donors came on board as Donald J. Trump rolls on to victory,” Eisenberg said in a statement.
Trump claimed on Tuesday that post-debate polls showed him winning Monday night’s presidential debate.
On Tuesday morning, Trump said every poll showed him winning the debate except for one from the “little watched” CNN.
Later Tuesday, the GOP nominee said he was holding back during the debate as to not embarrass his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton. He also touted his performance during Monday night’s event at a rally he held Tuesday night.
